Hello,
I am using Views Slideshow to display an image gallery. When I schedule a post to go live in the future, the image does not show up. Otherwise, Views Slideshow works perfectly. Is there a setting that I can adjust so that the images will always show up, even when the post is not live?

You'll need to remove the default views filter for unpublish content:
screenshot
click that and then click remove.
