As in the object: after moving my site from locale machine to production, the slideshow stopped working

I can see only the controls.
I suppose the slideshow is moving in "background" cause of a flickering on the screen and cause of the code in firebug changing every n seconds, but i can see neither image or text.

(in the front page, between the navbar and the light brown region with 4 blocks, where you can see the 3 control buttons)

Before posting this i tried:

  • disabled all the css (in case my floating div messed something) >> no, slideshow still "hidden", even with related css disabled
  • switched theme (with and without my css) >> no result
  • changed region (miscellaneous try, performed in my custom theme and the default one) >> no result
  • disabled and re enabled slideshow, and reconfigured it >> no result

If i switch my view from slideshow to, for example, table, image and text shows again. So I think it's a views slideshow issue.

This is my code (the name "ddblock" is legacy, dynamic display block is not involved in the process anymore)

There is no content in your slide div tags, Once I put an image into them using firebug, the only issue I see is that
views_slideshow_cycle_teaser_section_ddblock-block_1 has a height of 0 and overflow hidden so it will not show anything, by setting a height I was able to see my images rotate.

I don't see that you have the height set to 0 anywhere so if you add content to them the height should expand to the height of the first slide on page load.

Performed other checks

my content is exactly as the locale version, so visible
my views call the right content.

My view is set to exclude all the fields but the last one
the last field is rewrote to match the html structure and css i decided

I cannot figure out what my problem could be, do you have any idea?

in your view where you rewrite you code, check to make sure that the Replacement pattern matches properly.

for each slide your view is printing out :

Notice there is nothing but spaces between the open and close div tag

this is my my replacement code

These are the replacement patterns available:

[field_link] == Contenuto: Link
[title] == Contenuto: Titolo
[body] == Contenuto: Body
[field_image] == Fields: immagine
[field_image-fid] == Raw fid
[field_image-alt] == Raw alt
[field_image-title] == Raw title

could be some sort of permission problem? server side i mean, maybe the folders containing the module and libraries

after a painful day i decide to reupèload everything on the server from locale, and now everything works...
anyway i'm upset I don't know what i did wrong (maybe a failed connection during transfer? hardly, cause i didn't get notice about it)

I have exactly the same problem... Don't know WTF is going on... All seting are like on localhost and slideshow just don't work. I have checked everything 3x. Hands down...

This is old issue but this is happening for me too now. I even tried top copy the source of the live page, save it locally and creating the domain name exactly like it's on live ( hosts file) and it's working locally. Because I downloaded the source then all the resources are pulled exactly from the same place as the live version. Wow, haven't seen this kind of bug in my long career..

For me the problem was very old module version and new php 7.0.
