i can't seem to get the header and footer sections to display at all when using the PDF Table format. is this not a supported feature or am I missing a setting somewhere? with the unformatted style, the header and footer are exposed in the format settings to set the position, but the settings for the table style format only include the labels and fields (not the header and footer sections).

Ok This issue is solved here #1886066: Print views header and footer in PDF just need time to make the correct patch and apply this.
