Clicking "Next" on the last image doesn't change the page

When there is more than just one page, clicking "Next" when you are on the last image of a page, should takes you on the next page.
At the moment when you do so, it takes you to the first image of the SAME page.
This creates confusion: eventually the average user thinks that the gallery ends there, as he doesn't notice the pager.
As big networks like Facebook are taking you to the first image when an album ends, people are really habit to consider this as a signal of "no more pictures".

In the Galleriffic website, at http://www.twospy.com/galleriffic/ , the plugin is able to change the page correctly, so the problem is probably in the drupal integration.
