hi there,
maybe someone can help me with this.
through admin i can see the content and the structures, they are all intact, and there are no status reports indicating that there's something wrong, but i can't get into my homepage. i can't see anything when i click on home.
i can still get into admin. so i can see all the content is still there and the structures are also still there.
i didnt get a fatal error warning or anything. also no log messages.
is my site broken and do i have to start all over again?
i tried to upload a file to a filefield that i attached to views galleriffic. apparently it can't be displayed right underneath this gallery.
in content i could see the gallery and the filefield wasnt located in the gallery itself.
i was able to remove the uploaded file, but still i can't get back to the situation before i tried this.
please advise.

this problem seemed to be solved...
when i hit user/logout it said access denied.
then i could somehow get back to my homepage, but i wasn't able to edit the page.
when i signed back in, i wasn't able to see the homepage anymore....
when i sign out, i can see the homepage again and it's fully functional. the views galleriffic gallery is running and i can click on the facebook icon for instance and this link works. i see the full content without the topbar to edit my website.
best,

attached the gallery of views galleriffic, with the filefield as a separated field (thin line).
above the image field with thumbnails of some uploaded images.

hi blacktigerclaw:

It is best if these issue queues stick specifically to the functionality of the Galleriffic module. If you have more general questions it is better to post them in the forums: http://drupal.org/forum or drupal stack exchange: http://drupal.stackexchange.com/

It is also helpful if you reduce your issue to a very specific problem. Above you describe five or six different steps you took which you have questions on but I'm unsure of what your goal is. A helpful format to ask questions might be:

Goal

-state what you were trying to accomplish from the beginning

Steps

- state the steps you took to accomplish your goal

Issue

- state the very specific issue, question, or bug you are having trouble with

Does that make sense?

hi, thanks for making that structure clear:
step 1:
i was trying to edit / build my website.
i added a filefield to galleriffic, but underneath it, so it could be in the same block on the 'content' of the main page.
step 2:
when i uploaded a zip file there and wanted to view the effect, everything went blanc. so i can't get back to editing my site.
i can sign in as an admin, so that i can see everything is still there: modules, views, blocks, content. everything is still fine
and i had no remarks in the status report that is worrying. but still i can't continue editing my page now.
step3:
i want to sign in as a user and still be able to see the content of my site, the homepage, where all the content is.
is this more clear?
please advise. i already reinstalled drupal 5 times....

when i look at the entity view modes
i see that all views modes are locked (for nodes, view, taxonomy and user - user account as well...)
this is probably why i can't view the nodes.
how can i unlock them?

i deleted the filefield i added to views gallery from 'extras' in display suite. (this filefield is what caused the whole problem i have now with the node viewing)
still it didnt disappear on other places. i can still see it when i go to the gallery with the pictures.
the filefield is still there, as in the screenshot i sent before.

just now i couldnt get into the configuration screen of views galleriffic. before i was still able to do this.
please advise,

okay, the problem is still the same, but today i got a message saying that i should check my status report because something is wrong with my drupal installation.
see screenshots.
does this mean i have to install drupal 7.14 again or that i have to install the pecl?
are these two problems related?
please let me know.
best,
