There are numerous coding practices that this module needs. I'm hoping that by fixing these we can take this module toward being covered by Drupal's security procedure. Most of the results are code sniffing and function naming, and properly setting the default git version.

I agree. I'll try to first take a look at getting the RTBC's in, after that it'd make sense to clean the code up a bit.
