Grouping on day

Problem/Motivation

I have multiple events each day with different time.
I want to group only by day.
But I always get a list of all single events. And they are not grouped.

Results:
Date Range field of event | hours
2024-03-01 - 2024-03-01 4.00h
2024-03-01 - 2024-03-01 0.75h
2024-03-01 - 2024-03-01 3.25h
2024-03-04 - 2024-03-04 3.00h
2024-03-05 - 2024-03-05 4.00h

The first 3 should be one.
