No its not possible. If somebody wants to write a patch or sponsor this feature I ll be glad to help.

You can with the Media Webcam module. We have only gotten poor quality video from it, and the developer is not helpful. If you have any luck with it, post back.

We would consider sponsorship for a good quality webcam recorder. But, we are in need of it now.
