There are some modules that provide custom player support like:

http://drupal.org/project/flowplayer

I wonder if these players can be used to display the video... Afaik, media module has already support for jw player.

Here is an example to display a Youtube video inside jw player:

Does anybody have directions to follow on this subject?

Sorry, but this feature request is out of the scope of this module, at least for now.

So marking as Won't Fix.

However, if you can provide a patch to prove that this is useful, we could test it and include it in the module code.
