fraweg CreditAttribution: fraweg commentedHello,
I am also interested to test this module. With patches for the drupal core do you use? In the readme file there are two pathes:
Did you use both patch and witch patches exactly? Maybe I can reproduce your error.
Best regards
Frank

kumpleto CreditAttribution: kumpleto commentedI did use both patches and made sure they were correctly done. Anyway, the chess page won't run if they are not followed correctly.
Hope I can make the chess module run the same way as the demo site.
:)

fraweg CreditAttribution: fraweg commentedCan you explain witch patch exactly you use and what you did to make it run?
Best regards
Frank
Edit:
I only see working patches for Drupal 8. I am not clear what to do make this patch work with Drupal 7.
Thanks for any Help!

kumpleto CreditAttribution: kumpleto commentedI used the latest version which is Drupal 7.17 and implemented the patches there as per instructions. But for the schema functions of both, i.e. $schema['vchess_games'] and $schema['vchess_moves'], I had to paste t in vchess' file vchess.install. (Is this correct?) After putting all the patches, I would enable the module. The chess menus worked smoothly, except when I create a random challenge and start to move.
Btw, where can I download the Drupal 8 as you mentioned?
Thanks

fraweg CreditAttribution: fraweg commentedHello ,
thanks for your post. My English is a little bit poor, so maybe you misunderstood me.
There are two links with the patches. In these links are several patches for Drupal 7 and 8. Only the patches for Drupal 8 are posted to work. Witch of these patches do you use? And when you modify this patches..how did you modify it.
Thanks for your help!
Best regards
Frank

kumpleto CreditAttribution: kumpleto commentedohh i didn't see that, so it works only for Drupal 8? Unfortunately, my server doesn't support the system requirements yet from Drupal 8 (sigh).
Thanks a lot Frank!

kumpleto CreditAttribution: kumpleto commentedI dont understand you Frank, which one are you really using, D7 or D8?? I tried D7 but it's giving me error. Now I just tried D8 but it gives me this error when installing the module -
vchess-7.x-1.3.zip contains versions of modules or themes that are not compatible with Drupal 8.x: Pos, Gamer, FEN, VChess

paean99 CreditAttribution: paean99 commentedI just installed the vchess module and i had the same error in a local test site (drupal 7.23).
It disappeared after i installed the rules module.
For the patches i used only the one at https://drupal.org/node/1464354:
https://drupal.org/files/core-8.x-ENUM_and_TIMESTAMP-1464354.12.patch.
