Hi,
My server does not support Varnish 4, therefor I'm wondering if Varnish purger support already Varnish 5 or Varnish 6, as I did not came around any tutorial nor VCL sample for these versions.
If it is not yet the case, please let me know about your plans.

MiSc CreditAttribution: MiSc commentedThe varnish purge module supports any version of Varnish - and the example VCL should work in version 5 or 6 also.

I got confuse because in https://www.varnish-software.com/wiki/content/tutorials/drupal/index.html is stated that:
Maybe it would be a good idea to mention the supported Varnish versions somewhere, or to ask people from Varnish Software to correct their statement?

MiSc CreditAttribution: MiSc commentedGeneric HTTP purger works also for simple use, but this module is dedicated to varnish only.

sahaj CreditAttribution: sahaj commentedThank @MiSc, maybe one last newbie or stupid question before closing this issue: as I have also some Drupal 7 website running on the same server, what will happen between Vanish 5 and these Drupal 7 sites, as the Drupal Varnish module (https://www.drupal.org/project/varnish) does not support Varnish 5?
Just nothing?
Is there an alternative solution to benefit from Varnish 5 for both D8 and D7 websites on the same server?
Would it make more sense to package my different sites with something like Docker?
Any hints would be helpful.

MiSc CreditAttribution: MiSc commentedVarnish versions has nothing to do with this module - all that is sent to varnish is a
BAN
with the configured invalidation - so I will say that Varnish from 4 and up is supported - it all depends on your VCL.Comment #10
MiSc CreditAttribution: MiSc commentedNow stated on Porject page that any version of Varnish, that supports BAN could be used with this module.
