I would like to become a maintainer (or co-maintainer) of the User protect module. I already have been working on a Drupal 8 port of this module. See #2181393: User protect: Drupal 8 port and my sandbox project: https://drupal.org/sandbox/megachriz/2243903. I have notified the current maintainer, karschsp, about my work on the D8 version a few weeks ago, but I have not received a response so far.

I'm only interested in actively supporting the Drupal 8 version. For the Drupal 7 version and before I only want to provide minimal support. This means committing patches for bugs and answer user questions, but not adding new features.

Great! Thanks for the quick response. I will add the Drupal 8 version and update the project page next weekend. For now, I will only commit #1411738: Notice: Undefined offset: 5 in userprotect_get_user_protection().
