Hey.

I've installed usernode with advanced profile, buddylist, and views and panels and the whole shebang. It's nice and it gives me the buddylist functionality i'm looking for, but the image picture size is making me pull my hair out.

I have imagecache profile pictures enabled, and it seems that i'm locked into drupal's notoriously horrid user picture interface. When a user uploads a picture, its like pulling teeth to upload a new one, they actually have to delete the old one, and replace the new one with it, especially if the file is the same name as the one they are replacing it with. The imagecache profile presets are set on the user settings page, we'll say that I have them set as large. When I specify the default user picture as "large," the main image for my user is at the size I want, but the buddylist images are also that size. (Make view for buddylist - argument, Buddylist: UID is buddy of Usernode). To make the buddylist images show up, I have to use "usernode: picture" to have it show up, but the user pictures all show up as the large size! I can't have a buddylist with 250x250 user buddy pictures.

To try a workaround, I have created a cck field on the user profile page for users to upload their own images, bypassing drupal's surprisingly inferior profile image upload interface. But, alas, the usernode argument wont have that field show up as the buddylist's user picture, becuase its not of a usernode node type, its a userprofile node type.

Is there some code I could drop in the argument handling code box, or another way to accomplish this?

I'm trying to get user pictures to be of a large size on the profile, and their buddies to have smaller (thumbnail) pictures, as links to their profile.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks!
