[META] Release Plan for User Expire Patch Release 2.0.1

Problem/Motivation

The intent of this issue is to coordinate efforts in the creation of the 2.0.1 release of the User Expire module.

As of the creation of this issue, the module is stable and supports Drupal 10.2 and later. The 2.0.1 release will focus on resolving minor bugs reported or fixed since the 2.0.0 release, improving overall code quality, and ensuring continued compatibility with the latest versions of Drupal.

Module status update

• #3491440: Offering to co-maintain User Expire

Release-blocker issues (Bug fixes)

• #3491740: user_expire_set_expiration() executing a merge query incorrectly
• #3491806: Add dependency on drupal:user
• #3493960: Fatal error when creating a rule using the "Set a user expiration date" action

Good-to-fix issues (Code Quality and CI)

• #3491746: Address PHPCS test failure
• #3491786: Address phpunit (next minor) test failure
• #3491734: Update require-dev version of rules in composer.json for D11 compatibility
• #3493689: Enforce that GitLab checks pass before merging.

Remaining tasks

• Establish a list of release-blockers and 'good-to-fix' issues for the 2.0.1 release.
• Resolve the above issues blocking the release.
• Merge all merge requests for the listed issues. (Merging into the 2.x-dev branch can be done at any time.No release required)
• Create 2.0.1 stable release.
