Hi there, I get the following error when trying to upload an image:

The specified file DSC00349.JPG could not be uploaded. The file's name currently in use. Please wait a few seconds and try again.

Before installing the module, I was getting a PDO exception which is now gone - but now it seems Drupal is not properly renaming files if one already exists with the same filename already exists. This file does exist in the files directory (but obviously that shouldn't matter so I'm interested in a fix). If image filename doesn't exist the upload works fine.

Using Multiupload Imagefield Widget module which facilitates the upload.

The easiest solution may be to simply rename the file locally. Is there a reason why you would like to have files with names that already exist? To replace the existing file you can delete it first and reupload afterwards.

I'm getting the same as the original poster. Unable to upload files with multifile upload widget (whether as a group or singularly) due to duplicate filename issues. The PDO Exception is now suppressed, but you just receive the 'The file's name currently in use. Please wait a few seconds and try again.' message and no files are saved against the node.

Has anyone managed to sort this out? I've just starting seeing this after installing the upload_qc module as a work-around for the 'Integrity constraint violation' error.
