Possible to notify user their order is about to be renewed/their card charged?

Does this module send the user a notification that their subscription is about to be renewed? And if not, what's the easiest way to set something like this up, rules I'm guessing?

My customers have a 90 day subscription, and I'd like for them to be notified that their subscription is about to be renewed and their card charged. Does this module already do this, and if not, any tips on setting this up? Seems like I could set up a rule where after their membership is changed to premium, or renewed at premium, that 89 days later they're sent an email that their subscription is about to be renewed? I guess I would only want to do this if they hadn't already turned off auto-renew? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!!!
