Seperate booking from hotel booking and create an API

Hello,

because of an actual project i discovered this module und find it very useful.
But I need similar booking modules for things like rental cars, day trips and so on.

At the moment i do not see any other way to clone the module and change what i need to change for each type of bookable object.

So I thought it could be helpful for the future to seperate the booking system from the hotel part in it and make the hotel part a module on top of an api.

So it would be possible to create many day based booking systems on top of that.

at least its just only a suggestion, but if you are interested I'm willing to help.
