Hi,
I've set the base rate for May, June, July
but when I enter a value (1?) in the Availability calendar the values are reset to 0.
A comment in the footer states
"Dates older than the configured expiry time, or without a configured base rate value will be reset to 0 when this form is submit."
What does "Dates older than the configured expiry time" mean?

Older than Yesterday, Older than Today, or Older than Tomorrow.
It should default to older than today. This means when cron runs, any rooms with availability older than that setting will be set to zero -- or expired.
Also, as noted, you have to specify which base rate the room type uses by editing the node.
Ideally, you want to do all of the configuration of the module, base rates, and rate and occupancy modifiers before creating your room type nodes.
