I have a dilemma whereby my twitter module is creating a bit.ly url when tweeting the new post but then the tweetmeme module is creating a new bit.ly url when the button is added to the bottom.

Is there a way of hooking into the bit.ly url created by the twitter module to maintain consistency between the two modules?
