Trip Fund

This module allows members of organization to track fundraising efforts for trips. Originally developed for use with church mission trips, this could also be applied to student groups, community organizations, or any group with similar needs.

The group leaders will be responsible for posting individual donations as they are received so that participants can view their balance and progress. Participants will be able to view all details of the donations they have received so they can write thank you letters to contributors.

The initial implementation will be as simple as possible. Future expansions may include support for defining parental or other relationships so that designated users can track multiple family members.

In order to avoid node access complexities, individual transactions will be stored in a custom table. Other elements, such as individual fundraisers and trips will be stored as nodes to allow maximum flexibility and customization for individual needs.

This module is being developed for Cornerstone Church of Highland, MI.

Status update

As of November 28, 2012, I am rolling a development release of this project. The modules are now capable of creating and editing all necessary entities, but they are nowhere near feature-complete, and the code should be considered highly unstable. Nightly releases should still be considered pre-alpha at this point.
