What is Translation Exchange?
Translation Exchange is a translation management platform that provides project management tools, workflows and automation to localization projects, including websites, mobile apps, marketing and transactional emails as well as customer support tickets and knowledge bases.
What does this plugin do?
This Drupal plugin automatically extracts content from your Drupal site, send it to Translation Exchange for translation and then synchronizes translations back to your site.
Where do the translations come from?
There are many ways of getting translations, including machine translations, crowdsourcing, internal translator teams and our marketplace. Our marketplace offers dozens of integrated professional translation agencies that offer high quality translations for dozens of subjects projects in hundreds of languages.
How does it work?
The plugin adds a small script to your site that at load time detects your pages content and substitutes it with translations pulled out from Translation Exchange CDN.
Does this approach work for SEO?
Yes, Google will run the script prior to indexing your pages' content. So if you have a sitemap with links to other languages, your site will be indexed in all languages.
Does it affect site's performance?
Since the translations happen on the client-side the performance of your site is not affected. The translations are distributed by our CDN and are optimized for high load and availability.
