Yes, also having a tag will be helpful for those of us using drush make to deploy, so we don't get nasty surprises when the dev branch has suddenly changed on deployment.

Before making a stable release, this should be fixed: http://drupal.org/node/1316152. It would take a minute to fix this issue, but would also be really helpful.
