Instead of:
Content type [node:content-type] The content type of the node.
something like:
Content type [node:content-type] The content type of the node, e.g. "article".
If space is an issue, I think the example would be more useful than the description because in many cases the description just restates what's in the name and hierarchy and is also repeated in the token itself: Nodes > Content type == "node:content-type" == "the content type of the node".

Dave ReidHrm, we're already using the standard set by core, which for these types of tokens generally doesn't provide examples, but you make a good point.
