After: composer create-project burdamagazinorg/thunder-project MYPROJECT

In my docroot folder are only folders no files! There is no index.php.

OK, I've managed to add files with
composer drupal-scaffold
But I still think this should be in documentation as first step after composer create-project?

This sounds very weird. I did a composer create-project burdamagazinorg/thunder-project thunder --no-interaction in the morning and everything went fine.

Also, our tests are executing this command multiple times a day, and we didn't face any issues.

So, I don't have any idea whats going wrong on your machine. 😕

The same happened to me. No index.php. #2 solved the problem.

It seems that this issue is caused by old composer version. I updated composer and created project one more time and it's working as expected.
