Terms of use checkboxes come in the context of sometimes-lengthy registration forms. It would be nice if there were a feature to open the linked node in a new window/tab, and/or in a modal window.
If that's not possible, more generally it would be nice if there was a theme template file that could be overridden, and then this kind of thing could be implemented fairly easily.

jglynn CreditAttribution: jglynn commentedSure would be useful if there was also an option to open terms in a modal. Seems like it would be a very common use case.
