Terms of use checkboxes come in the context of sometimes-lengthy registration forms. It would be nice if there were a feature to open the linked node in a new window/tab, and/or in a modal window.

If that's not possible, more generally it would be nice if there was a theme template file that could be overridden, and then this kind of thing could be implemented fairly easily.

Sure would be useful if there was also an option to open terms in a modal. Seems like it would be a very common use case.
