This module provides new simple and lightweight field widget for 'Term reference' field type that allows users to add new taxonomy terms from the node creation form.
Term Reference autocreate widget works with core Term reference field type and does not require any other contrib modules.
Default 'Autocomplete term widget (tagging)' field widget forces users to add new terms separated by comma. And it is not very convenient when people need to create a lot of terms, because they should be placed in one input.
Term Reference autocreate widget gives the ability to create new terms using "Add another item" button, so new term will be placed in separate input. It helps users to edit content easily.
Usage
- Add a term reference field to your content type using 'Autocomplete text field (create new)' widget.
- Now when adding or editing content containing this field, you will be able to create new taxonomy terms to reference. The normal autocomplete search suggestions will still work, but if you ignore the suggestions and use your own text, form validation will no longer fail, and the target term you asked for will be created and linked.
