The status report shows The version of the Font Awesome library could not be detected. Any ideas how I can fix this?
Thanks

https://drupal.org/node/2009638 solved my problem with the Font Awesome version warning:

  1. copy the text
  2. paste in a README.md file
  3. upload in the /sites/all/libraries/fontawesome folder

The dependency problem is something different and can be fixed by manually updating the Library API. I didn't find issues after the update.

Still cant get it to work... sigh.. Maybe apply the patch that is in the link..?

"To resolve this I followed the advice in https://drupal.org/node/1995372, and then created a README.md file based on the one in the v3.0.2 zipfile of the font."

I didn't patch anything, just added the missing README.md, copying and pasting the code box from the main post.

I attached the file to make it easy.
Just remember to rename the file as README.md

Note that this workaround could not work in future versions.

Just copy and paste the readme file above !

I've made these changes, but my status report still shows "The Font Awesome library could not be found." Any ideas to try next? Thanks.
