An 8.x alpha release should be packaged ASAP in order to increase usage and push development forward. I have pushed concerns about alpha issues forward to beta1 to do so.

The last commit on the 8.x branch was December 2015 so roughy 1.5 years ago.
This module is rather actively used (>1000 for D8) and right now, for the 8.x branch, there are 10 issues in RTBC, waiting to be committed

JacobSanfordI have revamped the Alpha1 roadmap and will be sprinting on some of these issues at DrupalCon. Hopefully we can work towards a release by end of week!
