When using this API with Embedded Media Field in IE8 and IE7, using swfobject v2.1, I receive the following error: Drupal.settings.swfobject_api.files' is null or not an object.

This is not the case with FF.

Makes no sense to me, as this is just a standard js array object. Looking at it in FF's DOM inspector shows everything in Drupal.settings.swfobject_api populated correctly; I'm not sure how to see the DOM in IE.
