What is Drupal Swag Shop?
Drupal Swag Shop is an intitative to offer sustainably sourced Drupal branded merchandise that both promotes Drupal and generates revenue for the Drupal Association.
It is currently in Beta phase to test the concept and can be found at https://shop.spreadshirt.net/drupal/. We have partnered with Spreadshirt who provide the end to end operation management of the Swag Shop.
Why is the website not built with Drupal?
This is because we want to keep all investment, risk and overhead as low as we can while we test the concept. Using the Spreadshirt platform enables us to this while still controlling things like pricing and share of revenue to Drupal Association.
What happens next
We will be promoting the Swag Shop over the coming months so we can trial the response and demand. If successful, the key next step will be to create new designs, which is something we want the community to get involved with. More details to follow.
Can you help?
To ensure the Drupal Swag Shop is a sustainable project, we are actively seeking maintainers to help. There is not a huge investment of time required but we want a big enough working group to ensure we keep thing moving.
