Features variables export

Hi I need to create a feature for the stringoverride module including the strings that have been overridden as in the variables. In features I cant see where I can select the current actively set overridden strings. What do I need installed to expose the string variables? We have strongarm but I cant see anything the explicitly refers to sting overrides although the the module is in the dependencies.
