I assume the index name is the index name for sphinxsearch on the system. I queried the index on the command line with this name. Path, Sort, Order, Server, Port all seemed pretty obvious and trivial. I only check Enabled.

The Active status shows up as Error.

I have no idea what's going on..

It seems the Sphinx module has become abandoned. Yay... I managed to fix part of this on my own. I guess the rest of the module is up to me to fix too.
