the like box only works in Safari. I've tested in MAC- Firefox, Chrome, Safari. WINDOWS- IE9, IE10, Firefox, Chrome.

When I look at the Java console I see: FB.getLoginStatus() called before calling FB.init(). in all.js#xfbml=1 (line 52)

I don't know if this is causing the issue. In addition it looks as if the page is calling query.js?v=1.4.4 - Is this okay for this module?

I really could use some help here on why it does not work on so many browsers

I just wanted to add to my post: I created the code from facebook developer as well and created a new block, copy pasted code in. Same effect: works on safari and not any other browsers. If someone out there smarter than me could help. this would be great. I'm at a loss here. my site: test3.licramarketing.com

Issue tags: +AddThis Facebook like counter button

I'm experiencing the same issue (on localhost on a Mac; have not yet pushed the changes to Production). The Facebook like widget (i.e. "AddThis Facebook like counter button") works correctly in Safari, but not in Firefox (have not tested in Chrome).

In FF, if you click the like button, the count advances. However, no window opens and upon refreshing the browser, the count reverts to the previous total (which makes sense, since no window opens and the user never actually has the opportunity to log in and "post" the "like" to his/her account).

For me it wasn't working in FF because of 'Ghostery' plugin. Pausing it fixed the issue. Not sure about the other browsers, but hopefully this will save someone a bit of head-scratching.

Status: Active » Closed (cannot reproduce)

I am closing this issue because it is outdated, and I was unable to reproduce this even with ghostery enabled in chrome. I test like box on both chrome, firefox, and safari without any issues. (these are the latest browser versions however)

If this issue still persists feel free to open it back up.
