Problem/Motivation

With the recent changes in social api and social post, the Tweet @RuleAction in this module does not work at all.
The purpose of this issue is to track correction on this rule to allow tweets to be published via Rules.

See also #3049171: The social_post_twitter_tweet RulesAction doesn't post anything, which has a patch similar to this one.

We don't need two issues open for the same problem, so please examine the work in that other patch and roll a new patch to combine these contributions and make sure none of the effort contributed in that other issue is wasted. One of these issues should then be closed.

In general, it's a good idea to search the issue queue for existing issues first, before opening a new bug report. A search of the issue queue for "rules" will find the issues you should look at, including the two related issues I have added.

I found an online blog, written by the original poster, that documents how to use this patch to automatically post tweets using this module and Rules. See https://freelance-drupal.com/en/blog/automatically-tweet-published-content
