CSS not loading from subtheme

I hope someone can shed some light on this.
I created a sub theme. I am trying to just adjust the CSS with the CSS loaded from the .info. For some reason it still loads the standard main-css.css.
I tried using the !important tag, and no luck.
Is there some other thing I could do?
