Exporting with date range is not providing csv file

Problem/Motivation

We need a CSV export of survey responses for a particular date range.

Steps to reproduce

1. Navigate to /admin/content/simple_survey/default/responses/export
2. Select: Export as CSV
3. Choose desired dates for date range.
4. Click Save

The blue progress bar screen appears and the progress bar looks like it resolves. The page refreshes back to the export tab page ( /admin/content/simple_survey/default/responses/export). There is no status message with a link for the file download. There is no browser download. There are no logs in dblog. FWIW, this is an Acquia site.

Proposed resolution

I wish I could provide some kind of technical thoughts here but it's beyond my knowledge. A link either in the status message or a file download from the browser would probably be an ideal way to get the exported CSV.
