The Simple SEO preview module provides a new field to let content editors manage node meta title & meta description.
A Google preview help contributors visualize how non-visible meta title & meta description are taken by Google search engine.
Dependency
Content type config form
A default configuration form allow contributors to define defaults title & description values for a content type (can be overriden then in the add/edit node form of a specific node).
Field configuration
Several basic options are available in the content type form display configuration so it's possible to choose:
- If the Simple SEO preview field is collapsed/expanded in the node edition page (default: expanded)
- The title input field size (default: 60)
- The title maximum characters (to respect Google recommandations) (default: 60)
- The description textarea number of rows (default: 3)
- The description maximum characters (to respect Google recommandations) (default: 155)
Permissions
In addition, two permissions are created to give contributors the ability to define who can access the Simple SEO preview field. Content editors may:
- Only view the Google preview (no possibility to administer meta title & meta description)
- Administer meta title & meta description (and view the Google preview)
