#select_type attribute doesn't serve any purpose?

AFAICT there's no longer any point in the #select_type attribute.

On D8, #type can't be just " '#type' => 'select_or_other',", is has to be one of 'select_or_other_buttons' or 'select_or_other_list'. So the select type is already determined by the #type attribute of the element.
