We would like to implement a custom block to communicate some important notes regarding the latest release or future changes which may impact the current installation

In particular in this case it will announce the following message:

Sector is getting Drupal 10 ready! We will release a series of updates to the Sector 9.5.x branch and additional modules to support the upgrade process. Keep up-to-date on News and Updates for the Sector 9 to Sector 10 upgrade path on Sector.nz

The block should be automatically activated (sector installation / updatedb ) and placed on the /admin/* pages in the highlights region for claro admin theme.

Added to testplan and tested.

Passed with two cosmetic issues:

  • the close x is underlined (fix if easy)
  • The block should be prefixed with Sector as is ‘Sector Release Notes’ (fix if easy)
