I disabled and then enabled my index (as the workaround for #2749101: some nodes never get added to {search_api_item} table), and the re-enabling step times out.

I am left with an index that reports 0 items, and I can't figure out how to get it to track again!

Enabling it with Drush took a long time but worked.
