this module sort of sounds like what i'm looking for, especially since i'm working on a site for managing scholarly pdfs, but i installed it and don't know what to do next, or what to expect from the module. how do i use it and how do i know whether or not it's working?

Hi, ditto.

I get Get PDF and Rename PDFs on the node view page, but nothing happens when I click on the tabs -- obviously I have not set it up all the way...

What's the name of your cck field storing the url to the pdf?
