INTRODUCTION

Scald Youtube is a video provider for the Scald module.
It can handle URLs and video IDs, and pulls meta data directly from YouTube.
If a V3 API key is provided then it is possible to also get the author of
the video and to search videos directly in the add form.

INSTALLATION

Scald YouTube depends on Scald. For specific installation instructions
related to Scald, check out its documentation at:
http://drupal.org/node/1652740

In order to use the search feature (or in case you have trouble reaching YouTube video pages on your server) a V3 API key has to be provided after
installation at: admin/structure/scald/video
You can generate an API key at the Google Developer Console.

Upgrade instructions for older installations of Scald Core (before 1.4):
For users upgrading to version 1.4 or greater of Scald Core, and where the YouTube provider were in use before, the following steps have to be taken to successfully move the module in the registry:

Note: It is possible that registry rebuild is not needed and a clear cache is enough.

- Install Registry Rebuild (if not already installed) either as a drush
command or as a php file.
Explanation at https://www.drupal.org/project/registry_rebuild
- Download Scald YouTube module into the contrib directory.
- Run Registry Rebuild
(Because in this case the module was already deleted in the latest development snapshot or the 1.4 of Scald Core)

For users using old builds (before 1.4) of Scald Core and just would like to use the latest version of Scald YouTube:
- Install Registry Rebuild (if not already installed) either as a drush
command or as a php file.
Explanation at https://www.drupal.org/project/registry_rebuild
- Delete the scald_youtube directory from the Scald module directory.
- Download Scald YouTube module into the contrib directory.
- Run Registry Rebuild
