Hullo!

So I've noticed that if I create a "Normal" link, by default a "/?destination=node/(nid)" is appended within the link's href="". Shouldn't this only be added if by an additional action or rule? It seems to be an unnecessary default, which simply adds un-semantic clutter, particularly in a case where an urlalias is in play.

If there's a reason it's included by default, and shouldn't be removed in future releases, what's the best practice for unsetting it from a link on my install? I understand that I can use the "Force redirect" option in a Redirect action to circumvent it functionally, but the fact that it's still appended to the default "Normal" rules link isn't acceptable in my circumstance (As with many common scenarios, my use case requires a completely semantic url, and "/?destination=node/(nid)" is hardly semantic).

Thanks for any and all relevant input.

Cheers!

Great catch. Was just looking into why this happens. I agree it should be removed.
