Allow metadata assertions on selected properties

Allow assertions on selected properties like comment:entity. I think right now this might not work as data definition objects are re-fetched and not necessarily cached. If it works, we should
a) ensure we have test coverage for that
b) make sure we do not change data definition objects of the system by cloning them before passing them do assertMetadata() of plugins. Or should we do so anyway?
