When a invitee responds to an RSVP, it'd be nice if they could replace the 'pre-@' part of their email address with their real name. So then their real name is shown on the RSVP list to the public rather than their first part of their email address.

I think this is what evite.com does....the invitee follows the link the invite email and then has the option of adding their real name on the invite confirmation page....and that is what is used to replace the name from then on out.

but you do not want to add your name again and again every time you receive an invitation for a different rsvp. So the system needs some sort of cache to store existing names from older rsvps.
This is what makes it more time consuming to implement.
