I have a couple of unused contact types - if I delete them (via /admin/structure/redhen/contact_types/manage/member), the corresponding contacts are deleted - but the content types are still available.

Only able to replicate the issue by not clearing cache after deletion. Please clear cache and let us know if you're still experiencing the issue.

do you have boost enabled? I did. I had to change some of the boost rules to make it work.
