How can I modify or change the content of the front page of the recruiter distribution ? I tried changing the front change in the configuration settings and it doesn't get affective.

I can add a block and display it in all the pages. I am not able to restrict it only the front page.

If any one has experience with this, can they please let me know how to achieve this functionality ?

Recruiter distribution use the context module to display their block in the entire website. If you go to admin/structure/context you will see all the blocks configuration.
