I think #1912584: With clean_urls off, the url in the generated bookmarklet code is wrong may have broken something: with clean URLs enabled, the bookmarklet is trying to launch:

http://d7.dev/node/add/article&edit[title]=yaddayadda

That & should be a ?, so it results in a 404.
