Hi,

I've created two role: Author node and Moderator node.

The Author node creates the node and the node is saved as unpublished.
The Moderator node publishes the node.

The issue is when the Author re-edit that node, the node keeps published. The re-edited node should go unpublished again.

Hi,

This is out of scope for the use of this module - it does not deal with workflows. Publishcontent only provides a simple way to grant the ability of a non admin to publish or unpublish a node.

For your more complex use case I suggest you look at the workflow or workbench module for this type of control.
