Without the right solr_war_path, the solr server will not work. We should check for this file and fire an error on server verification if it is not found.

Great work. Applied to 6.x-2.x.

However, I can't close this issue.

We still need to fail backend verification for this to be fixed.

Passing the issue to provision solr.
